Doctor of physical Sciences, Professor Gita Revalde, the president of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications told about the project "KUTEL" in her report "Internal quality assurance systems and autonomy of universities" at the III Central Asian International Forum on education quality assurance.
The "III Central Asian international Forum on education quality assurance" was held on 4-5 October 2019 by the Independent accreditation and rating Agency (NAAR/IAAR) in Turkestan.
The forum was devoted to the quality assurance of higher education. The forum was attended by experts and representatives of universities of such countries as Byelorussia, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Russia and others.
In her report, Professor Gita Revalde told about the goals and first results of the project KUTEL - "Universities of Kazakhstan for the improvement of quality assurance processes in education using new technologies".
As part of the project, about 100 representatives of universities and stakeholders were surveyed. As a result, the weaknesses of internal quality assurance systems in universities were identified and the needs for changes in education system were reflected. Plans and recommendations to further development of quality assurance systems were also announced.
Professor Gita Revalde participated in the panel session on "Improving the quality of education and commercialization of science: trends and trends of digital transformation", where together with representatives of NAAR the first results of the project were discussed.
