On October 30, 2019, 4 partner universities of KUTEL project (IITU, KOKSU, AMKU, AUPET), took part in the International Conference “The new societal dimension in the mission of Higher Education” that had place in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
The aims and objectives of the conference were to provide extensive deliberation on the third mission of higher education in the context of the positioning of universities in the global world and development of recommendations on the elaboration of the strategy of the social mission of universities and forms of its implementation in Kazakhstan society solving the certain tasks.
Among other objectives, the conference stressed on consideration of the relations of universities with business, various social institutions and groups, thereby enhancing their impact on society.
During the conference the universities presented their posters devoted to the activities in the framework of Erasmus+ projects. KUTEL was presented in two posters with information of the partners, aims and objectives of the project and recent activities.
The information of the project was also presented by the speaker, Alina Zhumagulova, Director of Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating in her presentation “Quality Assurance in HEIs – a mechanism for the interaction of universities and society”.
Among the presenters was also the president of AUPET with the report “International university ranking – quality indicator”.
